Makeup and Hair: Yana Gorcheva
Commercial: "Back to School" - Simon Premium Outlets
Director: Fred Goss
Location: NYC
It was a real pleasure working with Fred Goss. What an honor! He is an American TV actor, director, writer, producer and comedian. He has directed pilots and presentations for ABC, NBC, VH1, Fox TV Studios and more. Goss is also a very successful commercial director, working exclusively with Company Films in Los Angeles.
This is the type of job that I call “commercial job,” and I call myself and the other artist that primarily do this type of work - “Commercial makeup artists.” The look required for commercials is the "no makeup look". This is what they want to see, polished and clean. This is the most difficult style to perfect because it involves restraint, something most artists have not perfected and truth be told, don’t want to perfect. The look is trickier to pull off than it sounds. Managing to look like you aren't wearing makeup when you're really wearing a full face is no easy task.
As a professional makeup artist, I work only with the best professional makeup brands to make sure that the final results are flawless. I work with products from the following brands: Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Smashbox, Tarte, Too Faced, Laura Mercier, Face Atelier, Mac, Naked Cosmetics, Charlotte Tilbury, Viseart, Alcone makeup, Chanel, Hourglass. I choose only the best products for my clients.
The “no makeup” look is perfect for commercial makeup look and for an everyday look, for work and simple look for school. It's all about a fresh-faced glow and letting your natural beauty shine through. It also feels lighter on the skin, allowing you to breathe a little easier and worry less about touching up throughout the day.
